Attention Freebies,

I mean no disrespect by this letter but I'd like to share a different perspective concerning your request for a free picture.  Companies like Proctor and Gamble and other consumer brands readily make available free samples so people have the chance to sample their goods and hopefully switch to their brands.  These are type of products that people are using every day so it makes sense for the company to give away free samples in an effort to attract new customers.

However, there are many companies that offer free items that are completely different.  Ours is one of them and as I look over the freebies listings, I see plenty of others.  We are a small three person company selling an opportunity for people to start their own business.  The business costs about $500 to start and people usually make their money back within a couple of weeks.  We advertise and offer a free sample so that people who are looking to start a business can see what we have to offer.  We are confident that with so many scam companies out there, when people realize that we are an honest and ethical business with a great product, they will decide to become a part of our company.

However, please understand that to send out a free sample of our product costs us about $8 a piece.  Every time we get listed on a freebies site we get hundreds of requests that flood our e-mail boxes.  Certainly it makes absolutely no logical sense to spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to send these out to people who are not looking to start their own business.

I am including this letter so that perhaps in the future, when you are looking over the listings of the free items, you will choose the ones that look like they came from the company itself, rather than from someone who posted it on the Internet.  You will save another company from having to sort through hundreds or thousands of requests from a posting  they never intended to be there.

Again, I mean no disrespect by this letter and I feel under the right circumstances that these freebies sites provide a great service to the companies who are looking to give away free merchandise.

I welcome you to look over our website at www.friendlyfolks.com.  You are also welcome to e-mail me any comments you might have about this letter to scottk@friendlyfolks.com.

Thank you.
